Gig - Saturday, December 10th

MADE NOW MUSIC is delighted to present an evening of solo performances celebrating the sounds of some amazing Meanjin-based (and MNM-released) artists.

//CYBERBANSHEE

cyberBanshee aka Hannah (they/she) is a flutist, electronic musician, and improviser living on the unceded land of the Jagera, Yuggera, and Turrbal Peoples. The music explores the sweetness in unsettling difficulty, and reveals the monsters lurking in traditionally beautiful instruments. Their work and thinking are rooted in queer and feminist collaborative and contaminative co-creation with other soundmakers and artmakers, physical and social environments, ecologies, histories, and narratives, exploring the possibilities of making-kin and finding agency within community.

Joseph is a Brisbane based guitarist and music educator known for his composition/playing in Kodiak Empire, Shoal June Cartel, Kieran Stevenson, Prince Peace and many more. Joseph's solo work draws from neo-classical guitar, post-rock, folk and ambient music. Through his solo compositions, Joseph aims to tame his passion for complex music with the soothing nature of folk music, and a heavy emphasis on finger style guitar playing.
